learning and research center for the Feminine & the World Soul
rooted in Jungian psychology and the oral tradition.
Anima Mundi School is a place of learning, re-discovery, and reclaiming of the deep feminine and our innate connection to the Anima Mundi—the World Soul. The school is rooted in the mythopoetic dimension of the work of C. G. Jung as well as the oral tradition of storytelling and oral culture.
Bringing together both the theoretical and the experiential, we find belonging in the ancient traditions of the feminine as they are re-remembered in our time. A feminine path of individuation does not follow the same trajectory as a masculine one. Our school offers a space to explore this path—held by the modern tools of depth psychology while immersed in the mythic imagination.
Our Courses
We offer both short- and long-term courses, as well as self-experience workshops and retreats. More recently, we have ventured into a new educational space: an in-depth program for those who wish not only to immerse themselves in the imagination, but also to work with it actively in an ever-changing world and unfolding polycrisis. This program, Ecologies of the Imagination, runs alongside our short-term courses.
Our research
We are living in unprecedented times. The urgency of climate and ecological breakdown, together with the impending collapse of socio-political and economic structures we have relied on for centuries, can feel overwhelming to acknowledge and to hold within our everyday reality. Added to this is the growing polarization and splitting within societies, communities, and even our closest relationships. These crises are no longer distant—they are felt directly in many of our lives, and their intensity continues to grow.
What does it mean to live in a world facing such an immense scope of crises? What is our place within this unfolding uncertainty? And what role can imagination and depth psychology play in meeting these predicaments?
About us
Our center is a place where an interdisciplinary approach meets the diversity of cultures coming together. Here we collectively listen, witness, and research myths, fairytales, dreams, and the new stories and motifs that emerge from the depths. Through mythic imagination and collective dreamwork, we explore their living connection to the wider ecology of which we are a part. It is at once a place of research and a place of learning…[..]
3 Year Research Training

“What is most difficult, is to love the world as it is. Loving the world means neither uncritical acceptance nor contemptuous rejection, but the unwavering facing up to and comprehension of that which is.””

Man himself has ceased to be the microcosm of the cosmos, and his “anima” is no longer the consubstantial scintilla, or spark of the Anima Mundi, the World Soul.
— Carl Jung
Voices of the Well
Once in a while we publish a combination of poetry, art, essays and short stories that come directly out of our collective work and research on the feminine psyche and the World Soul.
“There is a Secret One inside us; the planets in all the galaxies
pass through Her hands like beads. That is a string of beads one should look at with luminous eyes.”
