Anima Mundi School is a place of learning, re-discovery and reclaiming of the deep feminine & our innate connection to the Anima Mundi—the World Soul. Our school is rooted in the mythopoetic dimension of the works of Carl G. Jung as well as the oral tradition of storytelling and oral culture. Combining both the theoretical and experiential, we find our belonging in the ancient traditions of the feminine, as recovered by contemporary women today. As a feminine path of individuation can be different than a masculine one, our center is a place to explore this unique path, with the modern tools of depth-psychology while being immersed in the mythic imagination.
We offer both short and long-term courses and self-experience workshops and retreats. From 2024, we have ventured into a new educational space where we offer an in-depth program for those who wish to not only immerse themselves in the imagination, but also work with it actively in an ever-changing world in an unfolding poly-crises. Ecologies of the Imagination is offered alongside our short-term courses.
We are living in unprecedented times. The emergency of the climate and ecological breakdown as well as the impending collapse of many structures we have been dependent on over the past centuries, can all-together be overwhelming to acknowledge, and to include in our every day reality. Some of us are now living in places where climate crisis is directly felt and experienced one way or another, and this continues to increase rapidly. What does it mean to live in a world that is facing such an enormous scope of crises, and what is our place in this unfolding uncertainty? What place does the imagination and depth-psychology have within these predicaments?
Our center is a where an interdisciplinary approach meets the diversity of cultures coming together. Collectively, we listen, witness and research myths, fairytales and new emerging stories and motifs that arise from the spirit of the depth in our work with the mythic imagination and its connection to the larger ecology of which we are part. It is a place of research as well as learning….[..]
